...what's a good screencapping program that you can set up and leave alone to cap whatever it is, and will work for DVDs? Because I have VLC, but as far as I know, it only does AVIs, and well, I don't feel like DLing 2 seasons of West Wing and 5 of Buffy, and 2 of House, and so on, just to cap them, when I already HAVE them.

Anyone know?

VLC works just fine for DVDs, I use it all the time for them-

*Facepalm* Really? How? Because I've only ever managed to get it to work for AVIs.

Well, to play the DVDs you have to go on the menu and select the option that says "Open Disc".

Yeah, I get that but I don't know how to set up the screencapping.

That only does one cap though, doesn't it?

Yes, you have to keep your fingers down and keep pressing it very quickly to get enough for an animated sequence- like in this icon. (It's not meant for you, it's just an example of what I've done before w/ screencaps)

I don't have a dvd player on my comp., so I can't make screencaps, but I know that a lot of people use these:

KMPlayer - It's freeware and has the auto capture feature. I believe you can get it HERE.

Another one that people use a lot is:

PowerDVD - I don't know too much about it, but it seems to be very popular. You can find out more about it HERE I think.

Yeah, I actually have PDVD, but I only use it to watch stuff, or if I need a specific cap, since you can't leave it alone and have to keep hitting the button.

I'll take a look at KM player though, thanks!
